[ARCHIVED] Janitorial Services for City Deparments - Bids Being Accepted

Janitorial-Service

September 22, 2017

.

The City would like to extend this invitation to you to bid on this request as a whole, separating each bid by department.  Unbalanced bids will not be accepted.

The initial contract will be for three years.  At the end of the three year period, the contractor and the City will have the option to continue service for two, one year renewals.  The contract will be re-bid at the end of each contract period.

The contractor agrees to provide all equipment and cleaning materials to perform the duties as agreed upon.  The City will provide all paper and plastic supplies as needed for bathroom and waste disposal.

The contractor will be acting as an independent contractor, not an employee.  The contractor is responsible for paying, and complying with reporting requirements for all local, state and federal taxes related to payments made to the contractor under this agreement.  The necessary tax forms will be required to be filled out prior to providing service.

The contractor will provide proof of insurance each fiscal year, October 1.  The contractor will be subject to a background check.  References will be requested.

Services and details at each location as well as the bid sheet will be available upon request.   A one time tour of the facilities can be arranged to those interested.

Low bid is the amount bid for the contract total for a one year period, for the entire service area and completing all of the listed services for each location.  Invoicing for the successful bidder will be submitted the first of each month and paid by the 15th of each month.

Bids are due by midnight, Friday, October 20, 2017.  We reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
